Position Overview:

  1. Discusses purchasing requirements and forecasts goals with Used Vehicle Director & General Manager
  2. Utilizes resources provided including V-Auto and Stock Wave to assist with buying activity
  3. Attends auctions, preferably (on-line) approved by management to purchase vehicles
  4. Approves all paperwork from auctions and provides proper documentation to accounting for purchases
  5. Notifies the Preowned Department Managers of anticipated delivery of purchases
  6. Tracks results of auction purchases and compares gross profits from auction vehicles with those trade-ins. (Holly to Provide)
  7. Keeps abreast of current market and current valuation of preowned vehicles
  8. Keeps abreast of and ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations regarding the preowned industry
  9. Maintains professional appearance
  10. Attends managers meetings including V-Auto calls as requested
  11. Other tasks as assigned by Preowned Director & GM.  

Education and/or Experience 

  1. College Degree in Materials or Inventory Management a strong plus.
  2. Positive attitude, strong communication skills, knowledge of VIN Solutions CRM, sales management experience, be customer centered, possess sales and prospecting skills, and the ability to motivate teams towards achieving sales goals is a plus. 
  3. Must possess valid drivers’ license.

Physical Requirements: 

  • The physical requirements of the position are Light to Medium Work.
  • Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely.
  • Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing.
  • Frequent – Repetitive motion.
  • Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting (~15-20 lbs.)

 

Physical Working Conditions:

This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to:  temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with operating an auto dealership.  

 

General Information:

  • Five-day work week with a rotating schedule, 40+ hours per week
  • Paid semi-monthly
  • Eligible for vacation and holiday time after one year of continuous service
  • Eligible for potential bonus from Toyota and First Dealers Resources
