Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven and experienced Billing Clerk. The Billing Clerk for vehicle sales verifies costs, including the cost of reconditioning and equipment add-ons, for the accounting department. He/She is also responsible for maintaining the various vehicle inventory schedules.

 **Up to $2,500 sign on bonus. Bonus depens on experience.**

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer files.
  • Post manual journal entries not posted by the computer system and any other posting as required.
  • Input inventory control information.
  • Reconcile inventories monthly and provide Controller with proposed adjustments.
  • Reconcile select accounts monthly, prior to month end.
  • Complete end-of-month accounting reports.
  • Receive and process paperwork from the F&I department.
  • Prepare payoff checks for NEW and USED vehicles on floor plan.
  • Reconcile holdback statement.
  • Monitor factory incentive schedule and research items not paid.
  • Ensure that name and address files are updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • Must work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Solid computer and data entry skills
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The physical requirements of the position are Light to Medium work and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely.
  • Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing.
  • Frequent – Repetitive motion.
  • Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting (~15-20 lbs.)

PHYSICAL WORK CONDITIONS:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 PM
  • Possible overtime as needed
  • Paid Bi Monthly
