Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven and experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk.  As an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payments and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.   You should be highly organized and detail-oriented and possess the ability to effectively work both independently or in a team setting. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Check and approve all vouchers for payment.
  • Enter all accounts payable invoices that are scheduled to be paid into the system.
  • Maintain clean accounting schedules.
  • Answer all vendor inquiries.
  • Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files.
  • Run the Accounts Receivable statements and mail out monthly.
  • Follow-up on all accounts receivable and send any collection letters or make any collection calls.
  • Handle customer inquiries on all accounts receivable and provide any information requested.
  • Receipt payments to correct customer accounts.
  • Print and mail annual 1099’s.
  • Review and reconcile customer accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

 

Job Requirements

  • Must work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid computer and data entry skills.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills.
  • Accounts Payable experience required.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable workflow.
  • Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The physical requirements of the position are Light to Medium work and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely.
  • Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing.
  • Frequent – Repetitive motion.
  • Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting (~15-20 lbs.)

PHYSICAL WORK CONDITIONS:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 PM
  • Possible overtime as needed
