Payroll Clerk – Jim Norton Toyota

High volume automotive dealership in Tulsa is currently looking to hire and experienced Payroll Clerk. Qualified applicants must always demonstrate the highest level of confidentiality and discretion. Attention to detail, and organization is key in this position. Job Responsibilities

  • Compile payroll data such as hours worked, sales volume, bonuses, and commissions, etc.
  • Computes wages and deductions and post to payroll records.
  • Process weekly, semi monthly, and monthly payrolls for an average of 250 employees.
  • Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverages, 401k, deductions, job titles and department transfers.
  • Assist employees with questions or concerns regarding payroll.
  • Maintains employee confidence by keeping all information confidential.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Keep records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
  • Prepare tax reports and tax deposits.
  • Remit garnishments, 401k witholdings and all benefit premiums.
  • Comply with state and federal regulations and company guidelines.
  • Other miscellaneous accounting office duties as needed.
  • Processes Benefit Request Forms.

 Education and/or Experience

  • High School or General Education Degree (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Automotive dealership payroll experience prefered.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Organization, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in Reynolds & Reynolds a plus.
