Fleet Vehicle Manager – Jim Norton Chevrolet

Jim Norton Chevy is looking for the best, most highly-driven Fleet Sales Managers to join the largest automotive group in Oklahoma, forecasting 7,000 combined units for 2018 and included in the Oklahoman Magazine’s ‘Top Workplaces 2017’.  Must have five years or more in automotive sales management.  Willing to pay top dollar for the right person.  Sales Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the Fleet Department and in measuring the performance of the employees in the department.  The Sales Manager will be held accountable for selling Cars & Trucks, controlling inventory, and maintaining a positive and clean work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting, Managing, and developing New Business
  • Required to make at least 20 fleet contacts per month in person.
  • Required to make on-site cold calls to potential prospects.
  • Scheduling service and repair programs
  • Finding cost-effective sources for new vehicles
  • Coordinating the replacement of existing fleet vehicles.
  • Responsible for allocation management to include vehicle preferences and BOS changes.
  • Handling of all dealer trades and paperwork.
  • Complete quarterly physical inventory on new vehicles with < 3% no-match rate.

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of dealership operations with 5 years sales management experience required.
  • Must possess valid drivers’ license.

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical requirements of the position are Light to Medium Work.
  • Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive a vehicle safely.
  • Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing.
  • Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and lifting (~ 15-20 lbs.).
