Collision Center/Body Shop Estimator

Jim Norton Collision Center is seeking an outgoing, career oriented, experienced estimator. Our highly dynamic organization is structured for significant future growth and requires an estimator with an accurate repair plan process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Excellent customer and interpersonal communication; setting expectations up front on the repair process.
  • Must make the customer experience the top priority.
  • Write a profitable, accurate estimate and track the vehicle throughout the repair process, continually informing the customers and updating their files.
  • Excellent sales abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication strategies.
  • I-CAR and ASE preferred.
  • Knowledge of collision repair estimating, including software programs Audatex and CCCONE
  • The drive to deliver high quality auto body repair with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with DRP compliance for major insurance companies.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities with grace under pressure.
  • The estimator must work well in a collision center with a team structured repair planning process.

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical requirements of the position are MEDIUM in intensity.
  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely.
  • Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing.
  • Frequent – Repetitive motion.
  • Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting 50 – 100lbs (with lifting assistance)

Physical Working Conditions:

This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to: temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with operating and auto dealership.
